Suggested Division 15 Specifications Minimum Security Grilles and Registers Model: SG-1500FL - Aluminum, Fixed Bars, 1/2" Spacing SG-1500FL • Aluminum With ½-inch Spaced Fixed Bars Minimum security grilles shall be TITUS Model SG-1500FL of the sizes and mounting type shown on the plans and outlet schedule. The fixed deflection louvers shall be available parallel to the long or short dimension of the grille. Grilles shall be constructed with 3/16-inch thick extruded aluminum louvers on ½-inch centers, set at 0° deflection, with heavy vertical aluminum tubes on 6-inch centers passing through the center of each louver. Vertical supports shall be welded to the frame on both ends. The frame shall be 1/8-inch thick aluminum extrusion welded at the corners. Grilles shall be of all welded construction. The sleeve shall be 0.09-inch aluminum welded securely to the frame. Optional opposed blade volume damper shall be constructed of heavy gauge aluminum. Damper must be operated from the face of the grille or rear-operated. The grille finish shall be #26 white. The finish shall be an anodic acrylic paint, baked at 315°F for 30 minutes. The pencil hardness must be HB to H. The paint must pass a 100-hour ASTM B117 Corrosive Environments Salt Spray Test without creepage, blistering or deterioration of film. The paint must pass a 250-hour ASTM D870 Water Immersion Test. The paint must also pass the ASTM D2794 Reverse Impact Cracking Test with a 50-inch pound force applied. The manufacturer shall provide published performance data for the grille. The grille shall be tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 70-1991.
