Pipe entry shall be left hand as you are looking at the front of the unit on model VAB. Model RAB shall be constructed so that it can be field piped directly to the outside or down through the piping chase provided inside the unit for areas with severe winter conditions. 7.Drain pan on models HAB and MAB08/MAB12 shall have two-dimensional slope for positive drainage and shall be fabricated of heavy gauge 304 stainless steel. Drain pans on models (M)(R)(V)AB shall be fabricated of galvanized steel. Model RAB shall be constructed so the pan can be field piped directly to the outside or down through the piping chase provided inside the unit for areas with severe winter conditions. 8.Fan wheels shall be double-width, double-inlet, forward-curved, centrifugal type. They shall be statically and dynamically balanced for smooth, quiet operation. The housing shall be constructed of heavy gauge steel with die-formed inlet cones. The bearings shall be self-aligning, sealed cartridge, permanently lubricated ball bearings that are rubber mounted and shall provide dependable fan operation for an average life of 200,000 hours. The fan shaft shall be solid cold rolled steel designed so its operating speed is below its first critical speed. 9.Filters shall be 2-inch throw away. They shall be center-loading with 85 percent arrestance efficiency. The filters shall be included in the units as an integral part of the cabinet with easy access provided by the manufacturer. Optional Configurations Cooling and Heating Coils 1.Coils shall be available in a 6-row, 2-pipe configuration for models (H)(M)(R)AB with seamless 3/8- or ½-inch O.D. copper tubes with 10 FPI (13 FPI for RAB60/RAB80). Hot water coils shall be available in a 1-row configuration with ½-inch O.D. copper tubes and 10 FPI for models HAB08, 12, 16, and 20; and a 2-row configuration for models (H)(M)(R)(V)AB in either preheat or reheat arrangement. 2.Pipe entry shall be available in left hand pipe entry as you are looking at the filter (in the direction of the airflow) on models (H)(M)AB and right hand pipe entry as you are looking at the front of the unit on model VAB. Motors Motors and drives shall be belt drive, standard duty, 1750 RPM, open, drip-proof construction. Single-phase motors shall be provided with resilient mount and automatic reset thermal protection. Drive shall be of the V-belt type. Variable-pitch motor sheaves are to be furnished for ease and accuracy in balancing the system and adjusting the required air volume. The motors shall be bolted to an adjustable platform to facilitate belt tensioning and alignment. The blower pulley shall be cast iron, single-groove with split-tapered bushing that is keyed to the blower shaft. Mixing Box 1.Mixing boxes shall be available on models (H)(M)AB and shall include low-leakage damper assemblies constructed of welded steel channel frames with 18-gauge galvanized steel blades, die-formed stiffeners, and full blade stop. Stainless steel side seals and vinyl blade seals to reduce leakage shall be provided. All hardware shall be corrosion resistant steel. Mixing box shall be fully insulated with manufacturers standard insulation. Mixing box for model MAB shall require field installation. 2.Controls for mixing boxes shall be provided for models (H)(M)AB requiring field installation and wiring in both 3-position and fully modulating packages. 3.Controls such as contactors, starters, and/or transformers/fan relays shall be provided by others.
